In the name “Community NdT”, NdT stands for “Naso di Tommaso” and what’s special in the name is that in Italy St. Thomas’ nose is equivalent to meaning that you want to “stick your nose” before believing in anything. A different way of saying “seeing is believing”.
Community NdT is the meeting point between companies that want to "stick their nose" and practically test things before believing. These are companies that do not want to rely on heard or pre-packaged solutions, but they want to try out first. The fact remains, however, that solution providers may allow access to experimentation, but only in face of a clear (and in some cases, understandable) commercial opportunity. How can the company, however, possibly engage in something hardly known and of which the benefits are still unknown?
Community NdT solves this apparent stalemate: A community of companies willing to participate in pilot projects using the technologies made available - free of charge - by the Community Partner.
