Virginia International University invites YOU to our summer STEM Institute. High School students from Grades 9 to 12 are invited to register for one or all of our one week STEM Summer Boot Camps. The STEM Camps will take place at Virginia International University in Fairfax, VA.
The mission of the STEM Institute is to promote and organize service, educational, and research initiatives in the STEM fields in order to foster high-quality, innovative STEM education and research in the local and global community.
The focus of the camps will be on the fundamentals and latest trends in the dynamic field of technology, namely Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Coding. The STEM Institute strongly encourages students from underrepresented groups to apply. For more information about STEM Institute, please visit https://www.viu.edu/scis/stem-institute/. Parents can register students for up to three sessions at https://forms.viu.edu/stem/. Deadline to Register is June 1, 2018.
Each session runs Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A one-hour lunch break and time for snacks is included each day of the camp. All sessions will be held at the Virginia International University campus.
In the Artificial Intelligence, participants will be introduced to the explosive field of artificial intelligence and discover how machine learning algorithms can be applied to make accurate predictions and solve complex problems.

Yes, must be in 9th - 12th grade.
