Description
I decided to watch this film because I had previously watched the South Korean Dream, which revolves around a Korean team participating in the homeless world cup. One would expect that it would be easy to create an inspiring narrative about this topic, but both films fell a bit short. While Dream focused on the team's formation, The Beautiful Game jumps straight into the tournament, resulting in more football action and less character development. It felt as though a significant portion of the story had been left out, as the motivations behind the characters' actions were unclear. Personally, I would recommend saving this film for a day when you have exhausted all other options (although it is still better than Damsel, but that's a different story altogether). If you're unsure whether to watch the English or Korean version, it ultimately depends on whether you prefer Bill Nighy or IU, although they have both been involved in superior projects. https://soap2day.store/the-beautiful-game-2024/
