After 1 year away, this year SIAS is hosting its 83rd Annual Dinner at Tobacco Dock. Relive the magic and opulence of the 1920s. Dress sharp and be ready to travel back in time to experience the magic of the roaring twenties (maybe even recycle the outfit from the Great Gatsby Ball!).
This year's Annual Dinner will be held on Friday 26 November 2021 at Tobacco Dock, Tobacco Quay, Wapping Ln, London E1W 2SF, UK from 6.30pm onwards.
The night will include a sparkling reception, entertainment, a three-course meal and some extras to be revealed! Your ticket includes unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks.
Tickets go on sale on Monday 2nd August. SIAS is offering ‘Early Bird’ ticket prices of £85 for a SIAS member and £105 for non-members.
Our event normally has 700 people attend. This year we have decided to sell tickets earlier in order to gauge demand and work out if the event is viable to run with reduced numbers or at all. If you buy a ticket and the event does not go ahead you will receive a refund.

FAQ
COVID
Pre-pandemic we did not offer refunds. However this year if you cannot attend the event due to a COVID related reason out of your control such as having COVID or having to self isolate, we will offer a full refund or the opportunity to defer your ticket to a future year.
When buying your tickets please bear in mind the changing nature of government advice may mean that our event may require proof of vaccination as entry requirement. This is currently not required but reports suggest that may change in the future.
Whatever happens at the very least we will be asking each person attending to take a lateral flow test before coming to the Annual Dinner.
Ticket Sales
Ticket sales will take place online via metooo. In cases where companies pay for your tickets, this will follow the same process so please purchase the tickets on metooo and request a reimbursement from your company as you would do an expense claim. Please email [email protected] if you require an invoice.
If you are having any issues with the online system SIAS would advise you purchase any required tickets and email [email protected] with any queries you may have. Our email inbox is not monitored daily and this will avoid you not getting tickets to the event.
If you are purchasing tickets for an individual who is not yet a member of the IFoA or SIAS, then please purchase tickets as normal and leave the ARN field blank (or enter zeros if it requires an input). You will need to follow up with confirmation of the ARN and SIAS membership once they have it, even if this is after the ball.
Group Bookings
If you are placing a large group booking (five full tables or more) and will pay via a bank transfer (not debit nor credit card) then please email [email protected] and we will arrange for the tickets to be purchased separately.
Table Plan
Please purchase your tickets in the group you would like to sit with. As tables are of size 10 we may have to split up groups of size 7,8 and 9 in order to make accommodate everyone in the venue. Please keep this in mind when purchasing tickets. Please type in any seating requests into the order form when prompted.
Cloakroom
There is a cloakroom at the event this will be able to hold coats, jackets, and any other luggage you may have.

After Party
Given the current circumstances this year we are not planning to organise an after party. However if our approach changes we will let you know.
Meal
A 3-Course meal will be served to your table. Please enter any dietary requirements into the order form for these to be taken into account.
Payment for drinks and raffle tickets
The event will be card only including payment for drinks at the bar and raffle tickets
Refunds
Normally SIAS does not offer refunds on tickets sold. Should you no longer be able to make the event after purchasing a ticket we can assist by putting you in touch with anyone on the waiting list. However if you cannot attend the event because of a COVID related reason out of your control then we will offer you a refund or the opportunity to defer your ticket for a future year.
Dress Code
The dress code for the evening is "Roaring Twenties Black Tie".
