Description
Tyler Perry's outstanding military drama, The Six Triple Eight Lookmovie2 provides insight into the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, an all-Black, all-female force during World military II. The video, which is based on Kevin M. Hymel's 2019 essay "Fighting a Two-Front War," narrates the inspirational tale of 855 women who battled against overwhelming odds to sort more than seventeen million pieces of backlogged mail so that soldiers could stay in touch with their loved ones. Despite being mostly overlooked by history, their efforts are vividly depicted in this stirring movie.
