Description
That's not to imply the film is lighthearted; a good deal of it is very serious. There has already been criticism about a scene in which the future president is shown raping Ivana on Afdah. It's no secret that any actor would love to play Cohn. However, Strong's quotable malice ups the ante in a film that, in some respects, treats Trump like a child. Strong's Cohn suggests that Stan's enamored Trump look into getting a prenuptial agreement when he wants to wed Ivana. Perhaps unintentionally, "The Apprentice" also contributes to the reputation of Trump as a cunning businessman, especially in relation to his schemes to renovate the Commodore Hotel near Grand Central Terminal. We don't get into great detail about his adventures in Atlantic City, where Cohn tells him he "has peaked."
