In contrast to everything being presented narratively in the form of a book, where we have to guess what happens and are left in the dark about what happens in the novel as a whole if the protagonist doesn't inform us, Lily falls in love with Ryle in Afdah Info. Lily is an unreliable narrator, as we have stated. And this is clearly demonstrated in the movie; after all, we watch for a long to find out what occurs when the young woman's abuse cycles start. Everything, including the scene involving the hot frying pan, the fight at the foot of the stairs, and the fateful night when the young woman's flower shop makes it onto the renowned list of Boston attractions, is worth seeing.
