Description
Neeson draws viewers into Thug’s harsh and isolated existence with his powerful and authentic screen presence. However, some of the supporting characters come across more as plot devices rather than fully developed individuals. Daisy’s challenges as a stripper on the brink of eviction suggest more profound themes, yet the film fails to delve into these issues thoroughly. Additionally, the fleeting interactions Thug has with his criminal associates, including his boss Mr. Connor, lack the depth and tension needed to convincingly portray this environment. Although Neeson serves as the film's anchor, Absolution misses the opportunity to explore its characters' emotional arcs and relationships more deeply, which would have made their paths to redemption resonate more profoundly.
