The Phu Quoc United Center project includes more than $2.8 billion in total investment, according to Vin Group. The project said in a press release released on Tuesday that the complex is "developing into an 'all-in-one' model featuring different forms of leisure and entertainment." It will be linked to the existing Bin Wonders Phu Quoc Amusement Park, which will be phased in by Vin Group beginning in April 2020.
Bin Group said its recent development aimed to make Phu Quoc a "new international destination" in Asia.
Other attractions at the Phu Quoc United Center include a variety of hotels offering a total of more than 10,000 rooms, the Vin Pearl Safari "Ban Wildlife Conservation Park," an 18-hole Vin Pearl Golf Course, a shopping and entertainment hub called Grand World, and medical facilities.
"This is also the only place in Vietnam where visitors can stay up all night at the first five-star casino open to Vietnamese," Vin Group said in a release. "With 1,000 slot machines and 100 game tables, the Corona Casino, which is integrated with a 600-seat theater, is second only to the world's famous casinos," it added.
Corona Resorts and Casino is promoted by Phu Quoc Tourism Investment and Development Company JSC. The latter is a Vietnamese real estate development and real estate company controlled by Vin Group.
Vin Group has also reportedly been linked to a potential casino resort project in Vietnam's Canhoa province. According to local media reports, Vin Group is seeking approval from the country's top leadership for a project to be developed on Horntr, a coastal island near the capital of Canhoa province, Nha Trang.
Hospitality company Vinpearl, which is part of Vin Group, is reportedly one of the sponsors, according to local media Tuoy Trenews and VnExpress.
