The truth behind the transfer has been revealed.
Tomeu Maura, a journalist with inside knowledge of Mallorca, appeared on a local Twitch broadcast on Aug. 18 (KST) and said, “Originally, Lee was supposed to join Atletico Madrid. At the time, Atletico Madrid agreed to pay Mallorca €10 million and Rodrigo Riquelme in exchange for Lee. But suddenly, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) appeared and hijacked the player.”

Lee left Mallorca to join PSG ahead of this season. His strong performance last season was the reason. Last season, Lee led Mallorca's attack with his flashy dribbling and sharp kicks.
