Description
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission's (MGC) Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement (IEB) made an evaluation, and MGM Springfield agreed to a $45,000 civil administrative fine for several incidents involving people under the age of 21 approaching game venues and games.
The incident took place at MGM Springfield from June to December 2022.
MGM Springfield has self-reported a number of incidents and has responded and cooperated with the IEB. MGM Springfield has come up with several improvement measures to prevent future incidents, including plans to install enhanced training, additional handrails separating game areas, and additional security podiums for game areas.
The Gaming Act and the MGC's regulations prioritize the protection of minors within the casino environment, and the IEB therefore evaluated this civil administrative punishment.
"We appreciate MGM Springfield's self-reporting of many of these cases and their continued cooperation in implementing enhanced practices to prevent similar incidents in the future," said senior executive advisor Kathleen Kramer. "The IEB will continue to monitor MGM Springfield's compliance with game laws and regulations and the remedial actions they have taken." 슬롯사이트
