Description

The Pohang Steelers of the K League 1 professional football team won four consecutive games in the group stage of the Asian Football Confederation AFC Champions League ACL. Jeonbuk Hyundai lost to Singaporean team Ryan City 0-2.

Pohang came from behind 2-1 in Group J of 2023-24 ACL against Urawa Reds Japan at Pohang Steel Yard on the 8th. Pohang, which turned the halfway point with three consecutive wins, won four games 12 points and crossed the ninth ridge of its advance to the round of 16.

Pohang was the only K-League team to win all four games in this tournament, setting up its pride amid a slight slump in Ulsan Hyundai, Incheon United and Jeonbuk Hyundai with two wins and two losses.

Pohang, which came from behind to win the FA Cup final 4-2 against Jeonbuk on the 4th and won the championship for the first time in 10 years, started the rotation with young players such as Yoon Jae-woon, Kim Joon-ho, and Hong Yoon-sang as starters.

Pohang got off to a difficult start in the 36th minute of the first half, giving up the first goal to Jose Kanté. Pohang, which launched a counterattack, had a good opportunity in the 40th minute of the first half and the 8th minute of the second half, but failed to score an equalizer due to its lack of determination.

Pohang, which had been banging, balanced the game when Zeka scored an equalizer with a penalty kick in the 21st minute of the second half.
He then gained a numerical advantage with the departure of opposing defender Takahiro Akimoto in the 26th minute of the second half. Takahiro was warned for committing a foul on Ko Young-joon's ankle, but was changed to leave after VAR was reviewed.

Since then, Pohang has continued to beat Urawa's goal, and Kim In-sung, who was replaced instead of Ko Young-joon, scored a come-from-behind goal by pushing back the ball hit by the opposing goalkeeper in the extra time of the second half.

Pohang fought 10-10 the rest of the time after Kim Seung-dae collapsed due to a hamstring injury at the end of the replacement card, but ended the game with a 2-1 victory with a victory by preventing Urawa's counterattack well. Urawa self-destructed at the end of the second half, with even coach Machi E Skorza being sent off for protesting.

As a result, Pohang has crossed the ninth ridge of its advance to the round of 16. In East Asia, the top three of the top five teams in each group and the second five teams in each group will advance to the round of 16.

However, Pohang has already suffered injuries to Wandelsson, Auberdan, and Kim Yong-hwan, and Kim Seung-dae and Ko Young-joon, raising concerns for the rest of the game.

On the same day, Jeonbuk suffered a shock defeat of 0-2 in the fourth Group E match against Ryan City Singapore at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore.
Jeonbuk, which lost to Bangkok United Thailand in the second leg, recorded two wins and two losses six points, making it difficult to guarantee its advance to the round of 16 as it is in second place with the same point as Ryan City. Bangkok United topped the group with three wins and one draw 10 points.

Jeonbuk had a difficult game throughout the game, shaken by Ryan City's counterattack. In the end, he gave up goals in succession to opposing striker Richario Zirconic in the 23rd minute of the first half and 10th minute of the second half. 사설토토

Jeonbuk recorded a scoreless loss in the 42nd minute of the second half when Gustavo even failed to kick a penalty kick.
