Description
This flixtor movies online genuinely caught me off guard. I had a feeling I would enjoy it due to its intriguing premise: the mind of a nature-loving girl who identifies with animals is transferred into a lifelike robotic beaver to prevent a highway from being constructed. It somewhat resembles Avatar for a younger audience, which is pretty fantastic, even if it’s not exactly the same.
The narrative is both strong and original, and I particularly appreciated the choice of a beaver as the protagonist. It’s an unconventional selection, and I really like that. All the characters, whether human or animal, were entertaining and blended seamlessly together.
The animation was stunning, striking a balance between realism and cartoonish charm, which I adored. I also detected a touch of anime influence, not so much in the animation style, but in the mannerisms of the characters. The designs of the characters were perfectly aligned with the story and its overall vibe. My favorite aspect was how the animals appeared differently depending on whether we were viewing them from a human or animal viewpoint. The alternating perspectives added a delightful storytelling dimension.
The voice cast is impressive: Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Meryl Streep, Dave Franco, Kathy Najimy, Eduardo Franco, Sam Richardson, Aparna Nancherla, Melissa Villaseñor, Ego Nwodim, Vanessa Bayer, Nichole Sakura, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Steve Purcell, Karen Hui, and Tom Law. Each delivered fantastic performances that truly brought the characters to life, but the standout was undoubtedly Dave Franco! His performance was exceptional, and his character was unforgettable—a truly remarkable and deranged villain.
The film also delves into some darker themes. While it’s not overly intense, it has enough surprising moments to give it an extra edge. And I’m completely on board with that!
