Description
Dan is experiencing grief following the death of his kid. With his gruff, bottled-up, bears-and-beer demeanor, Dan embodies the classic Chicago construction guy in Ghostlight on Flixtor Movies, rendered authentically by Keith Kupferer's lived-in acting. But when Dan happens upon a chance to work with a motley community theater group, their Romeo and Juliet show begins to unearth emotions he's long since suppressed. We observe the subtly altering power of art as Dan becomes attached to the endearing misfits, learns the famous lines of Shakespearean tragedy, and recognizes his own family in the play's agonized arcs. Ghostlight is expected to have all the quirky charm and poignant human connection that made Saint Frances so popular at Sundance. And this amusing, depressing, with Dan's agony matching some of the most memorable lost souls in literature.
