Description
Jackman has always moved like Wolverine, and as he ages, maybe even more so. Here, he portrays an irritated, grumpy man rather than the straight man in Deadpool on Afdah Info. He yells not only because he's tired of the clown in the red suit, but also because he's angry with himself for not succeeding and he now has someone to throw his pent-up bad energy at. In this version of the character's story, Reynolds, for all his blabber-mouthed, abrasive relentlessness, is also poignant, perhaps because both of them are shattered, abandoned men—“losers,” as Wade refers to them. The notion that the Fox-Marvel characters became collateral damage in a protracted corporate conflict that culminated in one side annexing and pillaging the other is connected to their loser status.
