House of the Dragon season 2 episode 7 picks up right from the conclusion of last week's episode 6, where Rhaenyra lands on the beach to investigate the appearance of Seasmoke with a new rider. Being the queen and in search of new Dragonriders, she is intrigued to find Addam of Hull, a stranger to her. Addam reveals that the dragon chose him and compelled him to ride, despite his lack of Targaryen lineage.
