Description

This cinematic and spiritual experience was truly remarkable. Villeneuve's world captivated me with its grandiose design, the compelling narrative of a religious fable, the exceptional performances of the actors, and the immersive sound and visual elements.
It is peculiar how critics, whether professional or amateur, often underestimate the significance of sound and visuals in a film, considering them as mere supplements to the story. They also tend to place importance on the involvement of celebrity actors, disregarding the value of cameos, and believe that modernizing old stories is necessary for relevance.
However, cinema is fundamentally about moving pictures, and while sound may not be obligatory, even silent films from the past effectively utilized music and effects. While the story is crucial, cinema's unique power lies in its ability to engage our senses in a primal manner, evoking emotional responses from the audience. Story alone cannot achieve this.
Admittedly, there were moments where the intensity of the sound made me apprehensive, but without the remarkable sound design, Dune: Part Two would lose its impact. The movie's visceral delivery overwhelmed me emotionally. My reaction was not sentimental, but rather a deep response to the physical portrayal of themes such as power, corruption, revenge, faith, and identity - the spiritual battle between Good and Evil. These themes held greater significance for me than the political struggle between the two Houses and the Emperor, which, in any case, pales in comparison to the power wielded by the Benegesserit, acknowledged even by the Reverend Mothers themselves as not being supreme.
Nevertheless, if one seeks to find parallels with contemporary issues, such as the challenges of living in a post-imperial world, they are still evident. The "romance" between Paul and Chani is not a conventional romance, burdened as it is with visions and prophecies of a Messianic future. https://soap2day.store/dune-part-two-2024/

I must clarify that I am not a fan of the books, having only read a mere 100 pages of the first one. Additionally, as an atheist, I do not adhere to any religious beliefs. However, I firmly believe in the power of cinema.
