Description
Though Sonoya Mizuno's character Jane is often overly forceful in her interactions with Lucy, she manages to convey sass in the role as her confident, gregarious, and domineering buddy. Although both characters have flaws and may not even be liked by all viewers, they do a good job of portraying the many types of people you could encounter in real life. The script deftly conveys each character's range of emotions, particularly Lucy's emotional turmoil. The first half of the movie was incredibly pleasant because of their childhood bond; therefore, the warm, realistic tone that the plot created in the first hour is diminished when they argue like little children in Jane's office in Am I Ok?
