Three different classes to enjoy...just choose your tickets

Floor Barre  (10.30-11.20am) -Ballet exercises are performed sitting/lying on a mat to improve alignment, core strength, control and technique. Includes stretching for flexibility. Classes are for dancers aged 13 years and up (including adults) who have a good understanding of ballet.

Wear whatever is comfy -that might be ballet leotard and tights or just sweat pants and a tee, as long as it doesn't restrict your movement. Make sure your knees, feet and ankles are covered (ballet tights or socks pulled up is fine) otherwise friction from the floor may hurt! Bring along leg warmers for extra comfort. You can also bring your own yoga mat if you prefer otherwise one will be provided. You don't need ballet shoes for this class (it's actually better without them on). And just one last thing -you might want to avoid wearing your hair in a bun or a tight ponytail at the back of your head as a lot of these exercises are done lying down.

Pointe class (11.30-12.20pm) -Barre and centre exercises to help build strength and confidence for pointe work. Classes are for dancers aged 13 years and up (including adults), already on pointe or just working towards it as all the exercises can be done on demi-pointe. They are fun and challenging for beginners on pointe through to experienced dancers.

Wear whatever you like for this class as long as it's comfy and not restrictive. Ballet wear is always recommended. Some of the exercises are designed for bare feet so if you are wearing tights make sure they're the convertible kind so you have instant access to your toes. Exercises are a mix or demi-pointe and pointe so if you're not dancing on pointe yet you can still join in with everything, just bring some ballet shoes. The lesson actually starts off-pointe so please don't enter with your pointe shoes on (just to save you the trouble of having to take them off). One last thing -please bring a hand towel with you (its for foot exercises).

Advanced ballet (12.30-1.30pm) -A traditional ballet class with barre, centre and allegro work. The lesson uses set exercises from the Royal Academy of Dance Advanced Foundation, Advanced One and Advanced Two syllabi, mixed with free work for dancers to enjoy, challenge themselves and stay fit. Classes are for dancers aged 13 years and up (including adults) who are working confidently at an intermediate level or above. You don't have to know any of the syllabus work, just be familiar with most ballet steps.

Wear whatever you are comfortable in -proper ballet wear is always recommended. Better still, if you have a tutu, feel free to dust it off and bring it along! You should have suitable ballet shoes or Demi-pointes and long hair should be tied back (so you can see where you're going of course). There is no pointe work in this class.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to register. If you need to change at the centre you must use the changing facilities provided but you can bring belongings and valuables into the studio with you. Always inform the teacher at the start of the lesson if you have any injuries.
